What Is PhiBrows Microblading?
- Microblading is a manual skill of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing. The shape of the eyebrows is calculated according to the golden intersection and the symmetry of your face.
- This two step procedure is done using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each "hair" is gently placed 2 dermal layers below the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look.
- PhiBrows Microblading is less-invasive than cosmetic tattooing or permanent make-up and can last from 1-2 years, depending on your skin type, and how you care for your eyebrows
- It is perfect for people who are tired of penciling in their eyebrows daily. If you have misshaped brows, sparse hair coverage, or for those who have gaps in their eyebrows due to tweezing or over plucking.
Step 1-Consultation
- We will discuss treatment steps, answer any questions you may have, do a pigment patch test and take a look at the condition of your existing eyebrows and skin. You will also be given a questionnaire which will need to be filled in and signed prior to any treatment
- There is a charge of $50 for your initial consultation, which is taken off the cost of your treatment when you book your appointment
***If your time is limited and you would prefer a consultation and treatment during the same visit please text me once your appointment has been booked. My cell number is 519 881 6044. I will require a photo of your eyebrows without any brow pencil or eyebrow make up, eyes open and your email address so I can forward you the consent and information documents for you to fill out prior to your visit*****
Step 2-Appointment Day
- Typically the longest part of your appointment is drawing and correcting the shape of your eyebrows until you are fully satisfied with the results.
- Your eyebrow shape is determined with a facial compass as well as an app to create perfect, beautiful brows.
- The shape is drawn on with a special soft, waterproof pencil
- Numbing cream is applied prior to microblading
- The First Pass ofMicroblading is performed. Anesthetic is then applied to brow.Pigment is applied to initial strokes to ensure that each hair is twice as dark and twice as thick as we want our final eyebrow to be.
- The chosen color mix is to compliment your existing, hair, brow and skin tones
- Once microblading is complete, a pigment mask is left on brow to absorb
- The eyebrow is then cleaned and a healing ointment is applied
How Long Will My Semi-Permanent Eyebrows Last?
- The results of microblading can last 1-2 years depending on your skin type , lifestyle, exposure to the sun and cosmetic procedures and facial products used. The oilier the skin, the shorter the treatment lasts.
- Approximately 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment, the client comes in for a check-up and a touch-up (included in price). Any gaps or missing pigment will be corrected at this appointment.
- Colour is very dark during the first 5-7 days. At this point clients often fear their brows will be too dark.
- 7 days later it will lose 40-50% of its intensity. You must patiently wait the 7 days and the colour will fade on its own after the skin has properly healed. Within 4-6 weeks your healed skin will be become translucent revealing the pigment below.
- Post-treatment flow makes 70% of the treatments success. Following all the steps of the aftercare program is of great importance in ensuring the longevity of your eyebrows. If aftercare is not diligent you can lose up to 80% of your drawn strokes.
Microblading Aftercare
- With clean hands and a q-tip apply a thin layer of healing cream (provided for you) to the treatment area 2-3 times per day and at bedtime for the entire week.
- Yes your eyebrows will be dark and shiny from the applied cream
- Do not allow eyebrows to dry out. Keeping the area moisturized and soothed is important for color retention.
- No swimming
- Stay out of the sun! If you must be out wear a hat or something similar to protect your eyebrows from sun exposure
- Keep water off of your brows, when you shower apply a liberal layer of vaseline beforehand and then gently wipe off after your shower and re-apply supplied cream
- Do not use any face creams, exfoliates or harsh cleansers near your brows during the healing process
- Do not pick any scabs or dry areas that may form during the healing process. This may cause you to lose colour or damage your skin.
- Normal activity can be resumed immediately, however intense exercise (sweating) should be avoided 2-3 days following treatment
